Previously, there was a smaller night market called Dinh Cau Night Market on Vo Thi Sau Street, just 150 meters away. In October 2016, this market officially merged with Bach Dang Night Market, forming the current, larger Phu Quoc Night Market.
Since this change, the area has become more spacious and organized. Stalls now have more room to showcase their goods, and visitors can explore the market in a cleaner, more open space. This redesign also allows the market to accommodate more people, especially during the peak tourist season.
How to get there
If you’re staying in or near Duong Dong Town, getting to the night market is straightforward. You can walk or cycle there, as the market is centrally located and easy to access.
For those staying further from the center, taking a taxi or using Grab is the most convenient option. Grab is a ride-hailing app similar to Uber and is widely available on the island. Taxis and Grab rides are reliable and easy to arrange, but if you’re staying in a more remote area, it’s a good idea to book your ride in advance through your hotel to avoid long wait times.
Alternatively, renting a motorbike or scooter is a popular option for those who prefer flexibility. Renting one typically costs around 150,000–250,000 VND per day. While Phu Quoc’s roads are generally quiet and easy to navigate, ensure you have riding experience and a valid driver’s license before choosing this option.
Opening times
The market operates daily from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, but some stalls open as early as 3:00–4:00 PM. However, the market is at its liveliest around 8:00 PM, when it transforms into a bustling hub of nightlife.
On busier nights or during favorable weather, some vendors stay open well past midnight, with crowds lingering until 2:00–3:00 AM. Keep in mind that operating hours may vary slightly depending on the season and weather conditions.

The Phu Quoc Night Market is home to over 100 stalls, divided into two main zones that offer a mix of local delicacies and unique souvenirs.
- Zone 1: Located at the entrance, this area features food stalls and carts selling fresh seafood, dried specialties, and local treats like sim wine and fish sauce.
- Zone 2: Found towards the end of the market, this zone is where you’ll find souvenir stalls offering everything from handicrafts to pearl jewelry at reasonable prices.
